Sahaub Missaghi, a co-founder of HALO, brings a wealth of experience and a diverse background to his practice of law. Born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, Sahaub’s journey in the legal profession began with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (High Honours) from the University of Saskatchewan, followed by a Juris Doctorate from the University of Manitoba in 2008.

Upon graduation, Sahaub and his wife, Katty, whom he married on May 18, 2008, relocated to Victoria, British Columbia. This move marked the beginning of his illustrious legal career in the province. Called to the BC Bar in 2009, Sahaub initially honed his skills at a local firm before establishing his own boutique law practice in 2011, focusing primarily on personal injury law.

Over the years, Sahaub has built a formidable reputation as a civil litigation lawyer with extensive trial experience. His expertise spans a wide range of cases, including motor vehicle accident claims, slip and falls, and other occupier’s liability cases. Sahaub’s litigation prowess is evidenced by his appearances at all levels of Court in British Columbia – Provincial Court, Supreme Court, and the Court of Appeal. Notably, he has made submissions to the BC Court of Appeal on four occasions, demonstrating his adeptness in handling complex legal matters.

Sahaub’s trial experience is both broad and deep. He has successfully conducted dozens of trials, primarily in personal injury cases. This wealth of courtroom experience, combined with his strategic approach to law, positions Sahaub as a formidable advocate for his clients.

Beyond his professional achievements, Sahaub is a dedicated family man and active community member. He and Katty are proud parents to three young sons, Leo, Luka and Lev. Sahaub’s commitment to family extends to his passion for soccer, which he not only plays but also coaches for his two older sons. This athletic background, which often saw his club team in Saskatchewan competing in provincials, speaks to his competitive spirit and team ethos.

Sahaub’s diverse skill set is further enhanced by his multilingual abilities. He is fluent in Farsi and conversant in Spanish, allowing him to serve a broader range of clients.

Sahaub is an active member of the Baha’i community of Saanich, demonstrating his commitment to community service and the betterment of society.
